Member venoms5 Posted May 24, 2008 Author Member Share Posted May 24, 2008 The Yakuza Papers Box set. Is that the Fukasaku crime set? If so, I had this in my hands some time ago. Chiba is a villain in some of these, right?

Member Bravery Posted May 25, 2008 Member Share Posted May 25, 2008 The one with Andy Lau? I like the plot device and its a good looking film, but i thought it wasn't as good as I hoped it would be. Just what you said, I wanted to like the film but ended up feeling let down, and the 'twist' ending was so obvious less than half way through. Is there a box set of these now? I picked up 1-4 and VAMPIRE VS VAMPIRE in Chinatown last year. All of them are still unopened, BTW:D Venom, it wasn't a box set, but it was in a box. The movies were from different companies, Joy Star, Mega Star and Deltamac. But, I didn't care the set was only 15$.
Member venoms5 Posted May 25, 2008 Author Member Share Posted May 25, 2008 Oh okay. The ones I have are Fortune Star but distro from Deltamac save for the first one. It comes housed in a slipcase from Fortune Star with distro by IVL. QUEEN OF BLACK MAGIC (1979) is finally out in a gorgeous quality dvd from Mondo Macabro. This was released in some markets as BLACK MAGIC 3 and was also known as BLACK MAGIC TERROR. The bootleg I have is decent quality but the new MM dvd is stunning. Some great gore here including a guy who rips off his own head which then proceeds to fly around biting chunks out of people!

Reservoir Dogs - Special Ed. Member venoms5 Posted May 26, 2008 Author Member Share Posted May 26, 2008 CADDYSHACK is a true classic of the comedy genre. Loved Dangerfield here. I remember when this came out, my mom tried to keep me from watching it.

Without Rodney, I don't think that movie would be as much fun as it is.

Oh definitely not...Rodney not in the film would have been like the Marx Brothers minus Chico or Harpo. LOL
