I wouldn't say it's that bad.  Halloween 2018 is a sequel with a title that suggests it's a remake (a horrible trend, and I blame Rambo 2008 for it!).  At least this is a clean slate, a complete reboot.  More akin to Batman 1989 vs 1966, etc.

Shame they went this direction, considering how faithful the rest of the cast is. Hopefully he does a good job in the role.

it's fine. It has the curl and the trunks so I'm happy. 

I hate it when the suit doesn't have trunks- makes him look like a male stripper, with the codpiece sticking out.

Imo Supes should be like a Robin Hood/Pied Piper figure, rather than an ultra-masculine/muscular/roided-up giga-chad male- that's not what the character is in my opinion.
