Member kungpowmaster Posted November 23, 2008 Member Share Posted November 23, 2008 My latest CDs I bought and have been listening to is Darkthrone- Dark Thrones and Black Flags. And Abigail Williams new full length, I can't recall the title. I am wanting to get soon, the new Satyricon, and Enforcer. I also have a band myself that plays a dark punk metal style, maybe blackcore could be a new style term. It's called Astrum and I have a myspace up with the new EP on it. If anyone wants to check it out, it's myspace.com/themightyastrum Chosen One
Member HyperDrive Posted October 1, 2012 Member Share Posted October 1, 2012 I'll dust off this thread because I'm hooked on the compilations of obscure music from around the world that the labels Sublime Frequencies, Bombay Connection, and B-Music/Finders Keepers have released. Koes Plus: Dheg Dheg Plas + Volume Two Saigon Rock and Soul - Music from Fire Star The Sound of Wonder Pomegranates Otherwise, I'm pretty much a metal guy. Member Tosh Posted October 13, 2012 Member Share Posted October 13, 2012 My neighbours having sex....... piece of shit paper thin walls! Haha reminds me of an old Rodney Dangerfield joke - The couple in the hotel room beside me must of been a Hawaiian couple, all night long I heard Lou-Ow! I'm listening to some sweet funky KF/exploitation moviesoundtrack music I got from Kung Fu Bob. Traditional music from Thailand and Cambodia. Also the beautiful, talented Anoushka Shankar - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CnhcGpmH9Y&list=LLI35Fbtng3bNSw3btKSRq0g&feature=mh_lolz
Member Secret Executioner Posted October 14, 2012 Member Share Posted October 14, 2012 Listening to some more vinyls today: The Moody Blues (with the London Festival Orchestra) - Days Of Future Passed Asia - Asia Great albums like these make vinyl great, whether it be for the pleasure of your ears (I find music from a vinyl record very intense and moving) or that of your eyes (gotta love those artworks, I have my walls covered with LP covers). I think I'm off for a vinyl afternoon now. As far as Asian music goes I barely listen to any, though I enjoy some Cantopop artists such as Theresa Fu.
