Let me include the titles : Glen Campbell - Gentle On My Mind (Capitol) Patti Page - Stand By Your Man (Collectables) Perry Como - Lightly Latin/The Scene Changes (Collectables) Shirley Bassey - At The Pigalle/Live At Talk Of The Town (BGO) Liza Minnelli - Results (CD) & Visible Results (DVD) Sony Peggy Lee - Then Was Then, Now Is Now/Bridge Over Troubled Water (EMI) Would love to listen to Peggy Lee on vinyl but I mistakenly junked my turntable when CDs arrived. Member Endsang Posted August 21, 2008 Member Share Posted August 21, 2008 Hmm, I was listening to Cannibal Ox (Cold Vein) on my way home from work today. Havent picked up anything new since 8 Diagrams. Waitin for the new Styles Of Beyond Raseda Beach to drop (if it ever does). I got Cold Vein as well. Stress rap is gritty as hell. Member Endsang Posted August 22, 2008 Member Share Posted August 22, 2008 I made an interesting discovery the other day. Bought my brother the album "Metaphorical Music", by Nujabes, a japanese producer who combines jazz and hip hop and works with a lot of interesting underground rappers. I'd recommend it if you want to hear something a little different. He's also got a lot of relaxing instrumental beats. Also have the album "Modal Soul". Anyone heard? Member Lo Lieh Posted August 22, 2008 Member Share Posted August 22, 2008 Love: Forever Changes - The most amazing album I've heard in ages. It just flows like one big song. The Pretty Things: S.F. Sorrow - Where was this album all my life. Silver Jews: Lookout Mountain, Lookout Sea - Top Knotch!

I have those two albums and a couple of the Samurai Champloo soundtracks he did w/ Fat Jon. Have you heard of Fat Jon (from Five Deez)? If you like Nujabes, you should check his instrumental stuff out. Afterthought and Lightweight Heavy are my favorites.

Haven't really heard any Five Deez, except for the stuff they did with Nujabes and a few tracks from Pase Rock. I'll definately check it out. Currently working on MURS. I've had The End The Beginning lying around since forever without giving it much thought, and I recently downloaded the free album he did with 9th Wonder, called Sweet Lord. Been looking around for Murray's Revenge as well. Heard it? Also, how do you like Hieroglyphics?

Let me know if you can't find Murray's Revenge. I listen to a lot of the older Hiero stuff, but I haven't heard much of their newer music. 93 Til Infinity is a great album. Same with Casual - Fear Itself and Del - No Need For Alarm.

Btw lousy, couldn't find Murray's Revenge nor any Fat Jon other than on youtube. Sounds like some pretty good stuff right up in Nujabes' alley. Been meaning to check out some more Five Deez as well. Member Endsang Posted August 28, 2008 Member Share Posted August 28, 2008 I picked up Musiq Soulchild's Luvanmusiq recently, for some late night romancing. Can remind you of some of John Legend's work, but Musiq has a much better voice in my opinion. Check it out if you're into a little soul/R n' b
