My copy of NINJA TERMINATOR has arrived and we archive a 1+ year project for us contributors. Telling the IFD story with Phil G on one of the audio commentaries, you’ll get an insight into why old movies were spiced up with ninja- and Garfield phone-footage, and why actor Richard Harrison hated it all. 

If you managed to pick up the limited edition, you’re also treated to the full South Korean action movie (featuring Hwang Jang-lee in a blonde wig) THE UNINVITED GUEST OF THE STAR FERRY. So, you can see for yourself what a movie was like before IFD and Godfrey Ho made a new, internationally marketable film out of it.

Thanks to Jared Auner and Neon Eagle Video for the opportunity. We don’t do these audio commentaries often and it’s nice to do one for a project so rich on information and context.

I also picked up that WCL blu ray of Legend of Tianyun Mountain. Just a beautiful and lavish release & as it should be for that price. Along with the rest of my Criterion sale order of Wim Wenders Perfect Days 4k UHD.
