Just received my 2 DVD German prints of 'Of cooks and Kung Fu' & "Hitman in the hand of Buddha'.........WOW both prints have Kick ass picture quality as well as the English dub!

I wasn't comparing DTM with Amazon. My point was that in general, shipping costs from Germany are very high. Therefore, buying just one item will result in me paying more for shipping than the item itself.

While both DTM and Amazon sell The Last Hurrah/The Sword double bill DVD, only DTM sells The Fast Sword on their site. Amazon does not. And since at the time the only other German DVD that I wanted was The Fast Sword, I waited until DTM stocked it so that I could buy it with the double bill DVD and justify the shipping cost.

yep, that's the problem, all "Hartbox" packaged titles will NOT be sold at either amazon or any shop in the area - they simply don't stock such DVDs packaged in Hartboxes (they are also used for porn movies btw.)

they are also unrated, with no FSK Classification, which again, won't be offered on amazon mostly.

i hate that situation too, but it seems that these old, unknown Movies don't sell well in ANY case so they want get the German collector's market (Hartboxes have quite a large following here, some folks are paying HUNDREDS of Euros just for one limited Hartbox)

I would pay extra NOT to have gimmick paackaging.

I did get a couple of 'rated' titles from Amazon.de and the price wasn't too bad.

But for stuff like Eastern Condors you're forced to pay almost £20. Bloody extortion.

news: we sold all the 35mm Titles to a German TV Station. they'll most likely be earlier on TV than on any DVD... sad to say, eh? yes it's fact that no distributor is interested in these unknown, old Chinese Movies.

this is making MUCH more money than DVD Sales ever could, btw.. no joke.

yes, there was one by Ocean Shores. it looked really fine (print-wise and almost Full Scope), but of course the horrible Encoding was unusable for a DVD, even as Bonus Feature. it had no subs and was Mandarin Audio only.

Still curious about that Shaolin Invincibles print. I hope the economical forecast will look brighter this year so that we can get more goodies coming our way

I endlessly click on "next", and it keeps me on the first step. Anyone can provide a link where I can just add them to the damn chart and pay?

Buddha Assassinator release was delayed afaik and according to odfb it will be shipped together with the other two titles tomorrow 'if all goes as planned with buddha killer' implying that neither of the titles are listed oop on ofdb.

I did not order these myself however, but a friend in Austria did it for me some months ago when the news reached me about the new Buddha Assassinator release. Maybe you could contact ofdb and ask about the titles?

BUDDHA ASSASSINATOR is included in this set also.

includes the new 16x9 Transfer, German, Englisch (partially subs), Mandarin and Cantonese. German only subs for whole Feature. 2 censored snippets (4s) are included as Extra, as well as 3 Trailers for the Movie. it has a very healthy bitrate ot 6000kbit/s for the Main Feature, the crap Bonus Movie (MAGIC BRAID) is German only and of far worse quality.

6 has DEADEND OF BESIEGERS & DISCIPLES OF THE SHAOLIN TEMPLE (not needed outside Germany really)

8 has UNICORN FIST (16x9 Transfer, way better than the UK crap, but cut and only German Audio) and CLONES OF BRUCE LEE (no idea about specs yet)

another beautiful Print in 2.35 (16x9)

BUT sadly the only available Source (Ocean Shores VHS) was horribly cut so that lots of Dialogue is missing on the English Track. They could not locate a Mandarin Print also. so be it...

the German Print is UNCENSORED, but has 3 mins of superflous Footage missing (for example, 105s of City Harbour Sights..*Sigh*)

very bad news for all foreign Fans: www.dtm.at will not sell or offer any DVDs from MegaMax Movies due to sales distribution issues (there was some dispute in their forum which resultet in MM resigning and even getting banned there)

www.filmundo.de was and always will be the best source to get unrated / hartbox packaged Movies, but i have no idea if and how it is available to foreign costumers (it's like ebay, but needs 18+ registration)

DEVIL AND ANGEL - awful film, but that's a great print.

The version I saw was something like 70+ mins (and English dubbed) so presumably a cut version.

I thought Amazon.de stocked 18 rated titles now, why not these?

DEVIL AND ANGEL, TEN BROTHERS OF SHAOLIN and BUDDHA ASSASSINATOR will come out with the same batch in the next couple of weeks from Megamax. BUDDHA is out on a different Release now. the only difference is that the Megamax will have a German uncut Version in Fullscreen as Bonus Feature (go figure).

Holy smokes.. Gotta get this one asap! Problem is that i don't know where to buy it from since ofdb hasn't listed it (yet)
