So far, ShawAngela, seems to be the only person that has received a return address? I have yet to get my order. Once it arrives, I will check and see if it includes it. If I can return this at no cost to myself then I will. I just hope it does not become a big hassle. The real Killer Constable blu-ray I received previously was sent by Royal Air Mail.

The return address was mentioned on the label on the package, and there is also a sender's number. The package was also sent by Royal Air Mail.

I have noted the return address, but I forgot it in my car ; as soon as I leave home to go to work, I'll give the address to all of you in a post.

Ok, received my "mistake" copy of Killer Constable today and though there is a return address, there is no return shipping label on/in the package anywhere. So, I am going to send them an email and see what they want to do from here. I will make a simple request that they can either send me a container to return it or credit my cost for sending it back to them.

Update: I sent the email asking about them paying for the return shipping. Also, wrote them about the subtitles and seeing if they can keep an eye out (pester Celestial) about Revenge of the Corpse and To Kill a Mastermind. :smile Might as well, try while I was at it.

Wasn't the return address written on the package's external label ?

I just had to cross out my address on the package in order that it's been returned to them.

I sent them a message telling that the package was returned too, and I didn' mentioned anything about subtitles, because I don't know what's going on with the subtitles...Is there a problem with all their releases ?

Did anyone else besides @Karlos and I write to 88 Films, as per my suggestion, about the subtitles issue?

I did sent them an email about the subtitles - all together I have sent them 3 separate emails.

1. About the "mistake" shipment.

2. About "The Mighty Peking Man", it was supposedly shipped 5 days before the "mistake" shipment but I have already received the "mistake" shipment but still no "TMPM" in sight. I already received a shipment from "daniel_in_taiwan" which was shipped the same day.

3. About the subtitles.

So far no response from either of the 3 emails I sent.

My emails to 88 Films resulted in them telling me they were working on "a new batch of titles" and that they would take more care with checking the supplied subtitles for these - so, fingers crossed!

@ShawAngela from my post above...

One more thing: Regarding the subtitle issue on their releases... There have been some sloppy English subtitles- missing punctuation and capitalization, misspellings, and in at least one case, an entire line of dialogue missing subs. I've discussed this with @Karlos and we agreed that we would contact them directly about these "lazy" subtitles (which we both have). We should each write to 88 Films and encourage them to do better with that. Like "You are most likely releasing the "definitive versions" of these films, so could you please put a little more effort into proof-reading the subs before pressing the discs? As fans, we're going to be re-watching these over and over again for years, so it would be nice it the subs were proper." That kind of positive reinforcement along with the constructive criticism could help. You get the best results with a kind word, so please keep your messages polite. This is not some huge, faceless corporation, it's real human beings that will read your messages. So keep the adage "Treat others the way you'd like to be treated" in mind when typing. Remember- these days, our voices do often make a difference to these small labels. After Eureka Entertainment: Masters of Cinema announced they were releasing DRUNKEN MASTER on Blu-ray, fans found out that the "classic dub" was not going to be included. But after hearing from the fan community how important that dub's inclusion was to everyone, they added it to the release. Success! :nerd:

You can write to 88 Films about the subtitles here: http://info@88films.co.uk or give them a call at: http://07719 835564

They need us, and we need them. So lets work together to get it together.

Apparently @Karlos is getting preferential treatment from 88 Films when it comes to getting e-mails answered. :laugh Good news that someone over there is listening to at least one of us. I still think that it will make a big difference if everyone that is bothered by the problem takes a minute to send them a message, regardless of whether or not we receive a reply. They're still getting the messages.

Does every copy of Mighty Peking Man have a die cut on the spine of the slipcase? Mine has a cut on the right side about the width of my thumb in the center of the spine. Wondering if this is standard.

Finally receive my copy today - mine do have the cut.

Yes, I did find a return address on the outside but there is no return mailer sticker. And, there is certainly nothing about free return shipping. The post office won't send it back at their expense overseas. I would have to get a new label and peel off or cover-up the label on the package and send it back but it would cost me money to ship it. I am going to wait for them to agree to pay for its return or send me an empty box to return it or just tell me to keep it. Whatever they want to do, I will. But, I won't send it back at my expense. Maybe I should contact Royal Air Mail and see if they have any solutions. I`m not sure why/how this mistake happened, not like they are using robotics to fill the order (I would assume). A person packing the orders should have realized that the invoice and the movie shipped do not match. I am just worried that I won't get The Masked Avengers because in their system it shows that they already shipped it out. I know they sent the email saying I would get it but I really don't have much faith in them right now. I will keep my fingers crossed but if I have to order the movie again then I will be forced to file a complaint with my cc company so I don't get charged for the mistake they shipped.

WTF?!! Who the hell came up with the idea to have such a huge chunk taken out of the slipcover? Notice how Killer Constable does not have it? That is just weird! If they continue to do that then I doubt there is a reason for me to pick up the slipcovers. I really don't like the way that looks. Unless, if you buy all of them, it spells out a word or something. haha.

From their website, here is how it shows what it looks like:

peking_800x.jpg

The font is much smaller on your release. Maybe we need to write them and see what happened. I think if Masked Avengers arrives like your copy of TMPM did, I would lose my mind.

Actually the cut is on the other side, the side not showing which is next to the Peking Man - right around where the burning building is. The fonts where Evelyne is the fine, the same.

Thanks @thekfc and @ShawAngela for checking. At least I know I didn't get something they pulled out of the trash bin, which is how I felt when I first opened it.

Have anyone receive a reply email from 88 Films about the "mistake" shipment? They have yet to contact me.

I sent them an email asking for the date of shipping of Masked avengers and for which new titles they plan to release, and I'm still waiting for an answer.

They have reputation of being slow answering, or no answer. They reply quickly though if ask slipcase situation and specially if it is available=>possible customer:smile

They said yesterday on their fb they start shipping so any day now yours should be on it`s way.

No response yet. I will be sending a second email soon. At this point, I am more worried about getting the real The Masked Avengers sent out to me. They did send an email stating that I should still be getting it; that was sent right after they realized their mistake. So, I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

I go nothing.

No email stating that they sent me the wrong movie.

No email stating that they are still shipping out.

No response to either of my many emails.

There are other stuff I want to get, now I am leaning towards getting them from Amazon UK instead of directly from them.

88 Films is asking on Facebook whether the fans would be happy for them to get rid of the dual format releases and make them blu ray only for a cheaper price.

If you guys are continually having problems with ordering directly from 88 Films, then yeah, go with Amazon UK - if there's ever any problems, amazon always reply and always refund, with no quibbles at all.

You're still 100% supporting 88 Films, so no need to feel bad - OK, you won't get any limited slipcovers or anything like that, but it's a small price to pay in return for better service.

I gave my Killer Constable to a friend, and ended up re-ordering Masked Avengers again. If they make the same mistake again, then I'll be on the warpath!:bs_firey:
