Random fact: My Dad met the man who beat Bolo Yeung, among many other top Asian Bodybuilders in the  1975 I.F.B.B Mr Asia title. His name was Roger Walker from Australia and he was the guest poser at the (1971) Mr Doncaster competition in South Yorkshire (U.K). My Dad and his training partner (1974) Mr United Kingdom Peter Simpson, who had also won this event in previous years. Both went back stage to meet and talke him, as they knew the man who staged this show among others, local gym owner and bodybuilding judge Terry Hoolian. Who also had Arnold Schwarzenegger guest pose during local shows, during the late 1960's. Many pictures from these shows have been published in local newspapers and magazines over the years. Roger Walker party trick, was place coins in the deep cuts in his thighs.

@DragonClaws I should've known you'd have had a hand in something about Bolo that looks so good. Well done! I'm looking forward to it.

They say imitation is the biggest form of flattery, and it seem one member of this forum thinks the same. He's been lifting material from my Bolo Yeung biography, along with some of  the information I’ve got from outside sources. He's not only failed to acknowledge me, but he's even ignoring those who gave me this material to start with. However, this person can’t seem to pay credit to me or this forum. They don’t even give credit for any of a single source for the material he/they take. He's posted many images from the HKMDB.Com and David Yeung official Instagram page, with zero credits or sources. They are paying close attention to this thread, the new material I add is often copied within a few hours.

He's even gone as far as copying my exact post and those of others who contributed to this thread. When challenged on this subject, he simply blocked me on Facebook. Which isn’t going to break my heart, I’ve got a few eyes on this site. Remind me of being in Art class at school, those who could never come up with their own ideas. Would usually copy the more advanced and creative people in the class. Only we are no longer teenagers or children, but grown adults.

Here's the Link to Bill Carson's Bolo page on FB. It must be frustrating to be unable to create your own work, or feel the need to thank the right people for it. It's not just about my work, but also the work of others which has helped me out here on the forums.

If I post some fictional information about Bolo here, would this guy even be able to spot the genuine stuff from the fake?. I wont be losing sleep over this one, I’ve seen it all before in the past twenty four years of posting online. Just thought Id make people that post here aware of this. Its not the first time and it wont be the last lol.

Thank you, for the kind words. It takes a team of people to put this kind of project together. I was just one part of a much bigger machine.

I read about this on Sunday evening, its odd as I heard Bolo Yeung was ok with the project. When he talked to the producer Pavel Nyziak back in (2019)?. I hope both parties can come to some sort of agreement. You cant stop a documentary legally, unless its claimed to be official, which Pavel Nyziaks project hasnt claimed. The film wont be prying into Bolo private life in any way, its just his co-workers and friends paying tribute. I was also under the impression it was going to be non-profit, so nobody was planning on making any money from it?. Look at all the videos about Bolo life on Youtube, non of which have been blocked. This production would have told more truths and facts, than any of those put together. Hell, even Beardy can post bullshit about Bolo and Bruce Lee, and he doesnt get touched>

Whatever happens in the future, Ill continue my work on the tribute here at Kung Fu Fandom forums

Finally, Happy New Year everyone.

Can anyone here confirm that actor Robert Ginty, worked on the (1996) Shootfighter movie script, in an uncredited role?. The films IMDB.Com page states this, but I know some mis-information leaks onto that site from time to time.

Always appreciated how you are keeping it going for all us Bolo fans. I sadly have had to put my planned journey to watch all of Bolo's films on hold for the longest time. I hope to one day continue it, though I may never finish it.

If Bolo is in fact not at all approached about the documentary that seems a bit odd. I

I could understand if Bolo wanted his last remaining years to he private etc and he's worried this documentary may give him unwanted exposure.

But as far as I'm aware he still does public appearances. Surely if he gets new fans or people who have forgotten him, take an interest in him again, could mean more profitable in the long run?

I really hope Bolo doesn't have any skeletons in his closet, that he's worried this documentary will expose.

As I have said before, this was not a dirt digging documentary. It was focused on anything like that. During my time on the production, I never got a sense it was going to be like that. Otherwise, I would have chosen to part way with it many years ago. The film hasn’t been shelved for its dirty content, as the Yeung family haven’t actually viewed it in order to make any judgement. If I didn’t want a film making about one of my family members, I too would speak up about it. Such is life.

It’s much easier to spread rumours or click bait lies, or half-truths. Then it is to build something positive and respectful. If you are going to make a bold negative statement about someone, you have to be able to back this up. Most people are not saints, looks to the late Ghandhi or Mother Teresa, if you want something pure and un-tainted. Even then, Im sure if you talked to those two people. They might see themselves in the same way. We all have different perspectives on things.

Whoever you get large groups of people, in business, sport, filmmaking, you are going to encounter a wide variety of people from different backgrounds and cultures. A lot of information out there, is out of context because it’s no long the 1960's or 1970's, for example.

Thanks @legendarycurry, I might never see all his films either. There are some productions which might not be available to the public again. There's also a lot of quotes that suggest he probably made more movie appearances. Then those that have already been recorded online, in books or magazines.

This might just be down to memory issues, the older we get the less we can recall correctly. My Dads 75 now, and he keeps saying he started to get stories mixed up or dates for things that happened . Just because someone doesn’t recall something, the same way in every interview. It doesn’t mean they are deviant or un-informed or even stupid. There parts of my life than friends can recall very well, that’s hazy to me, and vice-versa.

Most old School Kung Fu movie fans know Fong Yau and Bolo Yeung appeared in a lot of films together during the 1970s. Both Infront and behind the camera. However, can anyone confirm or know more about Kickboxing devotee Fong Yau helping Bolo to get a role in Enter the Dragon?. For many years I thought Burce Lee cast him in the film, having already formed a strong friendship in (1972). Did Fong Yau give Bolo any training in Muay Thai?. Fong Yau was also one of the fight choreographers on The Greatest Thai Boxing, alongside Chieh Yuen, Bolo Yeung and San Kui. Chieh Yeun and Bolo also appeared on-screen together, as pair of killers for hire in the same production. It was filmed in Thailand where Fong Yau was born and raised. Produced by the Hong Kong Kai Fa Film Co. Who also produced Black Guide (1972), Tiger (1973), Valley of The Double Dragon (1973),

I can't say I've heard that before. Where did you hear about this, or is it just a theory?

I found this information in an online Japanese article about Fong Yau, you can find two quotes from this article and a link in the Bolo Yeung Biogrpahy/Tribute. If you scroll down to the Enter the Dragon section, there are two quotes from this article, which  are between the Black Guide poster, and a group image of Bolo with some of his on-screen/off-screen friends such as Chan Sing, San Kui, Chieh Yuen and Chan Wai-Man. If you have trouble finding it, I can copy it here.

I havent found anything else that back this quote up, at the same time I cant really de-bunk it either.
