Member DragonClaws Posted September 25, 2019 Member Share Posted September 25, 2019 Bobby Kim is a tough as nails loved up secruity van driver, who get's double crossed by his workmate(Park Dong-Yong) in.... Thanks to @rdenn, for uploading this clip from the movie. This print might look a little soft, but it's better than the heavily scratched up version I watched.

Member DragonClaws Posted February 23, 2020 Member Share Posted February 23, 2020 (edited) Quote Flying side kick by Grandmaster Bobby Kim, 1974. Holding the cement blocks for this demonstration is Grandmaster Jin S. Yang. In 2013 the U.S. Congress honored Grandmaster Kim for his achievements as a business leader, film star, and Taekwondo master. Grandmaster Yang's long and distinguished Taekwondo career has included serving as Secretary General of the World Taekwondo Federation and as Chairman of the WTF Academy. Member dionbrother Posted July 22, 2022 Member Share Posted July 22, 2022 Will be watching his Indonesian film BLACK SKULL this weekend. Bobby is very proud of it, so maybe they knew how to film him properly.
Member Yihetuan Posted July 24, 2022 Member Share Posted July 24, 2022 It's a shame the physical release of Manchurian Avenger never materialized from Facets for whatever reason. I know it's on iTunes but I want to own a physical copy for my collection.
Member AlbertV Posted May 30, 2023 Member Share Posted May 30, 2023 Bobby also appeared in 1994's Black Belt Angels. I saw the film on Tubi and he has some fight scenes in the film as well. The film's stars were actual taekwondo black belts (Shawna Larson, Rebekah Bartlett, and Nicole Burks) along with Hara Ho Kempo karate black belt Ka'imi Kuoha. Ka'imi's dad Sam (who in the film resembles a bit like Simon Rhee) was one of the film's main villains, who is seen here getting a roundhouse from Bobby and who also served as one of the film's fight directors.
Moderator One Armed Boxer Posted September 16, 2023 Moderator Share Posted September 16, 2023 The ever energetic Casanova Wong recently interviewed Bobby Kim on his YouTube channel while he was visiting Korea. No English subs unfortunately, but always good to see these guys together along with Hwang Jang Lee -

It's about action movie actors that looked like Charles Bronson. There were more than you'd guess, including one in Chile who looked more like Charles Bronson than Charlie himself! The Bobby Kim segment will be a worthy testament of his legacy. Bronsonploitation, basically, but I think the director is going with the "Bronsploitation" title. I have no idea when this will be finished, because we are digging deep. Maybe before the end of the year.
